This short insight in to opening and running a successful real estate business, could easily be mistaken for a sales pitch for Paul Davies' real estate brand One Agency....however, if you stop and think about it who cares? If you want to take it for what the title says it is, then the book is successful in its mission and is a helpful guide to all aspirational Principals. If you want to see it as a pitch, that is great too...because the One Agency model has to be considered a very serious option when thinking of going out on your own.
Having been an agent for 20 years and finally taken the plunge in business ownership I can safely say I am glad I waited.
Paul has created an almost perfect model, and he is obviously very proud of what he has done. He is a caring and inspiring leader who wants his business owners to be successful - and he has written a book to prove it!
Good on you Paul and good luck to anyone going in to business for themselves - you will not regret that ONE big step!

She was being burned alive. “Oh-mi-god!” Down below was a group of dudes. They were about four or five deep, All Lil D’s homies, older guys in their twenties and thirties. They were blocking the stairs, attempting to stop us. In the distance, I could hear sirens blaring. I looked up the street as a cop car pulled up. Across the street there were throngs of people gawking at the fire. Some had ventured out of their homes to watch the crack house blaze. BLOCKA! BLOCKA! BLOCKA! BLOCKA! Money just started firing, letting lose with the 9mm. the gun jerked in his hands. I heard grown men hollering like women as two of them scattered and two fell to the ground. By the time we hit the bottom of the stairs, the smoke was thick and I couldn’t see a thing. “Police, hold it right there!” a thick baritone voice halted as a flashlight strobed.

About the Author
Leo L. Sullivan was born on the south side of Chicago. He moved to Sarasota, Florida with his mother when he was a youngster. Currently, he is incarcerated in a federal prison. He has languished there for over a decade proclaiming his innocence. In 1999, a federal judge demanded his immediate release after ruling on his case. Unfortunately, the decision was overruled by a higher court. All the proceeds from this book will go to his legal defense fund.

OMG!!!!

Darn shame when a novel is so good you don't put it down, from the moment I started reading this story I was enthralled, from beginning to the end this book was ssoooooo good, even thru the drama Leo Sullivan manage to have some laughter installed. Bonnie and Clyde doesn't have anything on Marcus And Kayla, Kayla being your true ride or die chick!!!! Loves herself some Marcus as he journey through trials and old pasts of his dad Life!!!!!! Just read the novel and and be prepared to laugh, cry, root for a good ending! Now I will sit and hopefully read part 3 sooner than later. Good, good read!!!!!

WOW....this was truly worth the wait you really out did yourself this time...I loved how everything was all an revolving circle with history repeating itsself. Jhid ain't worth s*** for what he was doing to Kayla and how he set them up. Both on a different note parents need to look into what's going on when their children start acting out. All I'm gonna say is Nina Nina that's my girl. I hope they find Black Pearl and Nandi and turn it out. All the twist the turns u never knew what to expect I was left on the edge of my seat part 3 me please

Very useful and explanatory

This is a very well-written, professionally laid out and edited guide for anyone interested in Forex trading. The advice is sound and the author backs up his theories with charts and the technical underpinnings of his trading principles. He shares six strategies for trading and explains in detail how they can be utilized. Of particular usefulness to me is one of the final chapters where he discusses the mentality needed for trading. "Remember, only invest the money you can afford to lose," the author says. He advises against using borrowed money,being fearful, or putting too much at stake. He also indicates that one must keep a clear mind and to keep things simple. The advice in that chapter is useful for business in general, not just Forex trading. Overall, I like the clarity and the professionalism of the author. This is a book clear of typos or poorly constructed sentences.

It's a great guide to learn how to gain profit from Forex. This book is truly resourceful which is written by a trader who is experienced in this sector. The author disclosed some great strategies to do Forex trading in an easy way. I found this book so efficient and effective.

The strategies are helpful to create an efficient chart to earn profit. How to use Pivot Points, how to use Opening Range, How to use Ichimuko Cloud, how to use Bollinger Bands, how to use Fibonacci Retracement & how to find a trade for a bigger profit - these things are really essential to learn to setup a chart and execute successfully to gain profit from Forex.

It's a highly recommended book for anyone who want to gain profit from Forex. I will definitely suggest to grab a copy before diving into this sector.

Wow! I never thought forex trading would be that easy.A friend of mine recommended this book after his success in forex, and I am glad I bought it. If you want to make money trading forex, then this is the only book you need. Don't waste your money on training. This book can be your perfect guide. I have spent so much money on training but at the end of the day, it all comes down to strategy and good chart setup. Proof is in the book. The writer who is also a trader explained everything in a very simple format. I highly recommend this book.

Helpful - But Will Probably Raise More Questions Than Answers for the Novice...

Having participated as a team member, led (been a team leader), and hosted (run 3 at once) Shingijutsu-Kaizen, I can say this book is true to their method. After reading the book twice, and taking copious notes (the equivalent of 4 A4-sized pages using 10-point font), I below highlight some potential pro and con of this particular text as I see it today. For your consideration:

Pro:
+ Use of the "No Good" concept for stimulating creativity/breaking paradigms is a best practice you should consider adopting
+ Promotion of learn by doing also a personal favorite
+ Some clever definitions via quote/phrase/simple observation - which I think many with find thought provoking
+ Emphasis on respect for people (several places) are very helpful for quoting/reference and I will use often
+ Excellent summary for instructor-led kaizen process in Chapter 10. Short and to the point - enough to do it correctly
+ Contains a simple beauty and power I cannot seem to describe. Post a reply if you can... I would like to hear your thoughts on this topic.

Con:
- Majority of this book contains listings of lesson topics to try, discuss, or reflect upon during kaizen, hansei, or kata. In some ways this is a pro, in some ways a con. However, after much thought, I list this as a con because given the vehicle delivery (text) it is unlikely the wisdom herein will be squeezed out wiithout some additional force (a casual reader will not have an adequate vehicle). I think a chapter on establishing/promotion of a regimen to stimulate digestion of this large "meal" into small "bites" would be very helpful.
- There is a void on management engagement. I am unsure how to go about scolding my COO, VPs, or anyone else for that matter to create the dire circumstances that in turn force people to be more creative. I need help understanding how I can do this and remain employed, or at least not be hated and thus shunned.
- I'd prefer a hard cover. I get this is a raft of sorts - good to get me so far, then I will outgrow it and leave it behind - but still, hardcover is more enduring.

Neutral:
> The author suggests we write in the book - take notes and reflect on what we learned. I just cannot bring myself to do this. However, I did take notes, lots of them, and then re-wrote them to help commit them to memory and challenge myself - did I really get the message?
> Selfishly, this is short and I would enjoy more content. However, learning by doing is best so do not let this dissuade you from reading this book.

Bottom line: This book is recommended. There is much goodness within it's pages and already have quoted the book several times. It is my hope you buy it and use it to help others. Disclaimer: I read many of Bob's posts and like them very much. These are also recommended.

Back to the source of successful Lean transformations

Just finished reading (several times) the book and the first thing that stroke me is the incredible amount of wisdom concentrated in 98 pages…. The second thing was – although the subtitle is Kaizen for the next generation – even the older generations have a lot to learn from it. Just an example: when Nakao-san says “Master the basics” doesn't it trigger the automatic question: “What are the basics?” Now try to find that answer from the ocean of Lean literature out there. The pertinence of each of the phrases cited in this book is backed by the fact that it comes from the one that actively participated in one of the most successful Lean transformations to date.

A must read for Lean people and ones wanting to learn Lean

I have been trained by Chihiro Nakao for over 20 years and I have to say that Bob Emiliani has shown the true essences of Nakao San in this book, and why he is truly the best Kaizen sensei that I know.
This book is a must read for anybody starting there Lean Journey and will be on my must read list for all my Lean people.
Great Book Bob, Katsusaburo San and Rudy well done...

Awe-inspiring!

Briggs has become a new favorite author (I purchased on iBooks). These books in the Chasing The Dreams series are not only about finding love, but about friendship, family and ... Well... Chasing your dreams even if the odds are stacked against you. It's about never giving up and finding support in your friends and family. I love the fact that Briggs characters are diverse. You have Caucasians, Asians, Hispanics, and African Americans. Being an Asian married to a Jewish boy, it's great seeing a mix of races and ethnicities in a story. Additionally, whether it's about music, comics, or fashion, Briggs seems to know her stuff. Telling the story in a specific character's point of view is also strategic. In More Than Music, it's the geeky, music prodigy girl falling for the player. Then in More Than Fashion, it's the player girl falling for the gentleman. Briggs really has a talent of breathing life into her characters and making her stories realistic. Keep up the awesome work!

Elizabeth Briggs is great at writing characters who feel real, who have flaws but are trying their best. Her romances are totally swoonworthy, and the books involve awesome things like rock bands, reality shows, and Comic-Con. Have I convinced you yet?

These complex characters are all just normal people who are flawed, yet have extraordinary things happen to them. A Must-Have Resource

As a writer myself, I have four resource books on my desk at all times, and this is one of them, along with The Negative Trait Thesaurus, The Emotion Thesaurus and Webster's Dictionary. As a writer, this is a must-have. It is well thought out, comprehensive and perhaps best of all, easy to use. Unlike a typical thesaurus, there's no going back and forth from one entry to another similar entry to another and another. Everything you need is right there.

Plus there are articles about how to create characters readers will connect with, how needs and morals influence a character, what a positive trait is and how it develops.

Writers, you NEED this book. Readers, you will also benefit from reading this book-it will help you recognize great writing from the not-so-great. I highly recommend it.

Don't List, Describe.........

A writers aid to character attributes, whether you are, plot driven, or a character driven
writer, the people in your stories must come across as real, or your readers will not not
relate to them.
It is difficult to like and root for, or dislike a character, that has nothing to them but their name.
Readers want to know, why and what, makes the bad guy like he is, and why is the heroine different.
90+ positive traits are covered, and discussed, covering almost everything you will need to make your
characters real as life.
You will find an, Achievement, Identity, Interactive and Moral breakdown chart, to help you create each of
the people in your stories.
Don't just list your characters traits, describe them.

ONLY 5 STARS BECAUSE AMAZON WON'T LET ME GIVE MORE ...

Every writer needs both the Positive Trait Thesaurus and the Negative Trait Thesaurus. They go together. Add in the Emotion Thesaurus and the great downloads and extras these talented writers give you on their website (which add up to another fabulous book on their own) and you probably won't need too many other books on the craft of writing. A good dictionary and a Synonym finder and you are all set.

I have bought all three "Thesauruses" and loved them so much I bought all three for my Kindle too so I can have them on the move and when travelling. These Thesauruses are exceptionally well organised and contain huge amounts of information in a concise and practical format.

You could just leap in and pick a handful of traits to apply to your character(s) and they would still be better off than when you started. However, taking the time to read through the "users guide" chapters will add so much to your understanding of how to craft truly memorable characters that it is well worth the time invested to do this. Then use the listings to pick and choose traits and counter-traits and the ways in which they would possibly be exhibited to start building a team of people that will resonate with readers. Also use the listings to develop conflict between characters in a psychological way by giving each person traits that would "irritate" or "confuse" the other - much more subtle than the standard good guy VS bad guy.

I can't rate these books highly enough. I know I'm going to be buying them again every couple of years as they become tatty and worn out with daily use!
